Teacher of the Month (January 2017)
Mr. Petty

Mr. Petty has been teaching for 27 years.  He attended Rutgers' University where he earned both his master's and doctorate degrees, as well as Montclair State University where he earned his Bachelor's degree in Music Education and his Administrative Certification.  He loves the students because they are open to challenges and are very creative.  He also loves working with his professional colleagues in the performing arts department.

Ms. Ciesla

Ms. Ciesl​a was born and raised in Chicago.  She came east because she was recruited to play sports at Caldwell University.  She received a BA in English/Education at Caldwell, and played basketball and volleyball.  Ms. Ciesla's been at Tyson for eight years, starting as a student teacher.  She believes that she learns something new each day from her students.

Ms. Strojan

Ms. Strojan attended Middlesex County College where she studied Liberal Arts Education and Kean University where she received a degree in Earth Science/Education.  She is a self-proclaimed "geek" who loves science and sharing her passion with her students and loves that her students share their passion for the arts with her.  She has been at Tyson for six years.
